For a healthier option, skip the flour, as the breading will not be required. The cheese will give it some crispiness.
For the recommended dipping sauces, use Trader Joe’s jalapeno sauce, garlic sauce, marinara sauce, dill dressing, or sweet chili mayo.

Air fryer temperature varies depending on size, make, and model. My delicious cravings recipe time is subject to a preheated air fryer. If you are trying this recipe for the first time, deduct 2 minutes from the cooking time and increase it if needed to allow the food to cook evenly.
How to Make Zucchini Fries in Air Fryer
Prep
Wash and dry the zucchini with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Peel the skin unevenly (optional), scrap the seeds out, and cut into small sticks.
In a small bowl, crack the eggs, whisk, and set aside.
Add breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese to another bowl.
Mix the Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and flour in a plate or shallow bowl.
Coat
Gently dip the zucchini sticks in the seasoned flour mix, followed by the egg, and then through the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat the process until the fries are fully coated.
Cook
Arrange the zucchini sticks into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray with oil and air fry for 8–12 minutes at 180C/360F. Flip halfway through the cooking and spray with oil. Air fry until crispy and golden brown.
Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice, and enjoy!
How to Store and Reheat Air fried Zucchini Sticks
We recommend making what you can eat, and if for any reason you have leftovers.
Fridge - store in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
Freeze - you can also freeze for up to 3 months in an airtight container or a Ziploc bag.
Reheat in the air fryer for 2 minutes at 160C/320F or until hot before serving.
Tips
- For even cooking, cut the sticks into similar sizes.
- Double the coating to get the zucchini fries extra crispy.
- Ensure that the air fryer is not overcrowded. You should cook in batches if need be.
